Cremation prices, shown plainly

Federal law requires funeral providers to disclose their prices. We collect those price lists and put the numbers where you can compare them, without a phone call or a form. Each listing shows the date we last checked it was open, and every price shows where it came from.

What cremation costs nationally

ServiceNational range (industry estimate)Average
Direct Cremation $1,000 to $3,600 ~$2,200

Industry estimates for the whole country, not prices from any provider listed here (sources: after.com, page updated March 13, 2026, read by us October 10, 2026). Each provider's own published price is on its listing and in the price guide.

Why prices differ so much

Two providers a few miles apart can quote thousands of dollars apart for the same direct cremation. Families rarely compare, because comparing has always meant calling funeral homes during the worst week of their life. The Federal Trade Commission's Funeral Rule requires providers to give price information, and this directory gathers what they publish in one place, in advance.

Planning ahead, not in a hurry?

Prices change and paperwork is easier done calmly. There is nothing to sign up for. The prices providers publish are on this site with their sources, so you can bookmark them and come back whenever you are ready.

No form, no calls. We do not ask for your phone number or email.
