Autopsy report: Anyone may get a copy of a completed autopsy report from the Institute, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except Harris County holidays. (ifs.harriscountytx.gov)
How to request: Request by email or by mail to Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, Attn: Administrative Services, Autopsy Report Order, 1861 Old Spanish Trail, Houston, Texas 77054. Give the case number if known, the deceased's name, date of death and county. (ifs.harriscountytx.gov)
Report fee: A PDF copy by email is free when a certified copy is not needed. A printed, certified copy is $0.10 per page. Pay only after the office says the report is ready, by check, money order or credit card. (ifs.harriscountytx.gov)
